Dr. Charles N. Wamucii
Director, HE-NEXUS Group
Expert in Human-Environmental Dynamics, Risk Management, and Climate Adaptation
Dr. Wamucii is a seasoned environmental expert and Director at HE-NEXUS, specializing in complex human-environmental dynamics and risk management. With a Ph.D. in Complex Coupled Human-Environment Systems from Wageningen University & Research, his work focuses on climate change adaptation, environmental and social risk assessments, and integrated landscape management. He leads multi-stakeholder initiatives to develop innovative solutions for sustainable resource management across sectors like agriculture, water, and energy. Dr. Wamucii combines advanced socio-environmental modeling, participatory approaches, and serious gaming techniques to enhance adaptive capacity and resilience in communities and ecosystems. His expertise is instrumental in guiding policies and strategies for sustainable development and environmental stewardship. He leads a team of researchers within the HE-NEXUS Group.
