- Since 8 April, heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorms, occasional hail, gusts of wind and landslides has been affecting the Dominican Republic, causing widespread flooding, fatalities and damage.
- According to the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), as of 14 April, ten people have died in weather‑related incidents, one person remains missing, 28 715 people have been displaced and a total of 30 500 people are affected.
- According to the Directorate of the Emergency Operations Center (COE) of the Government of the Dominican Republic, as of 12 April, twenty‑six provinces are maintained at yellow‑alert level for sudden urban and rural flooding, rising water levels in rivers, streams and ravines, as well as landslides.
- Over the next 24 hours, moderate to heavy rainfall, together with thunderstorms and gusty winds, will continue across several provinces nationwide.
